A Morning Of True Freedom

Notes coming like waves

swimming over the mind,

feeling swept away on a sea of peace,

what joy in was to believe.

 

When the Zodiac made Aquarius

the river influencing a time on the calendar,

it would baptism us in utopia,

a morning of true freedom.

 

Love would flow as harmony,

brotherhood and compassion

showering their enchantment.

 

We would all find the light

revealing inner bliss,

the world would become so serene

as this new age of man’s greatest visions

transformed into a reality.

 

On nights when the news

expose the graphic horrors

of Vietnam war,

holding onto the hope of the song

helped to dim the brutality.

 

Wanting so desperately think

life could rise to a level of humanitarianism

erasing the stains of sorrow.

 

The song feel from the top ten,

but still held onto that image in my head

continuing to dream

somehow it would yet come true.
