The Right Stuff?

Homeland Security fever
really going so insane
got to protect so many places
and finding true blue patriots to hire
being such a major problem.

So when it came to the spots
in the middle of America
such as mail boxes in Kansas,
the government decided
they could stretch the rules,
hiring boy scouts and training them
to be armed and ready
should some evil enemy
decided to attach a stamp machine.

Though being careful
about only giving them only blanks,
just not telling them that detail,
appearance being the most important.

Was working okay and the boys
were having so much fun playing with the rifles.

Then one day they overheard a couple of cops
talking about how street walking “pussies”
were such a great thing to bust,
now they are ready to defend the nation’s safety
by going after stray cats.
